Aboriginal Coaching Awards

Coaching excellence by Aboriginal coaches in Manitoba is recognized through the Aboriginal Coaching Awards. Presented by the Manitoba Aboriginal Sport & Recreation Council Inc, successful candidates are chosen for their commitment, personal achievements and positive image, concern for holistic development, and team performance improvements within the previous calendar year. Basketball Manitoba

The Jim Bulloch Award annually recognizes a basketball coach(es) with financial support to allow them to upgrade his or her knowledge and expertise in basketball which will directly impact on player and program development (i.e. sponsorship to a major coaching clinic outside of Manitoba). Coaches of Canada

The Jack Donohue "Coach of the Year" Award is presented annually in recognition of a coach's dedication to the profession of coaching and the outstanding performance of their athletes during the past competitive season. Further information can be found at the Coaches of Canada website.

Coaching Association of Canada

The Geoff Gowan award recognizes lifetime contributions to coaching Development. The Petro-Canada Coaching Excellence Awards recognizes coaches whose athletes have won medals in open World championships, at an Olympic Games, at a Special Olympics World Games or at a Paralympic Games. Cross Country Ski Association of Manitoba

Every year the CCSAM recognizes a Coach with outstanding leadership skills, demonstrated commitment to safe and ethical coaching practices and a positive balanced approach to coaching. Criteria and application forms are available on the CCSAM website.

Manitoba High School Athletics Association

Each year the MHSAA selects its High School Coach of the Year and a $2,000 prize is awarded to this individual courtesy of the Grey Cup Legacy Fund. Further information can be found at the MHSAA website. Information on the Grey Cup Legacy Fund can be found here.

Softball Manitoba

Softball Manitoba annually presents awards to players, coaches, managers, administrators, executive members, umpires and builders for outstanding performance or contribution to the game of Softball. For information on their coaching awards see the Softball Manitoba website.

Special Olympics

Every year Special Olympics Manitoba recognizes a Grassroots and High Performance Coach of the Year. For information and nomination forms go the Special Olympics website.

Synchro Swim

Each quarter, Synchro Swim will be recognizing a coach. Nominations are due on the 4th Friday of November, February, May, and August. For more information see the Synchro website.

Triathlon Manitoba
