Coach of the Month Awards program.

Paul Harland - Rugby - Winnipeg

Paul has been involved in coaching rugby for over 25 years. A former Team Canada player, Paul has been involved in flag rugby (for young developing players), high school sports such as hockey and handball. Paul is also involved with the Junior Provincial rugby team. Along with his brother Scott, Paul helps organize and run practices.

Paul has twin daughters, Steph & Claire who follow in their father's footsteps, both playing for Team Canada. An encouraging and upbeat coach, Paul has supported and assisted greatly in helping his daughters reach the point they are at today.

Paul is a great advocate for the sport of rugby. Through his dedication to Rugby, Paul has helped develop the sport in Manitoba. He has made it his mission to show that, although, the game is a rough one, it is one of the most fun, injury free, inexpensive sports to play. As an inspirational and motivational coach he has stressed to his players that if they want something bad enough, and they work hard, they will get it.
