Coaching Manitoba is pleased to provide you with March's recipient of the
Coach of the Month Awards program.
Fred Kelesnik -Volleyball - Morris
Coaching for 30 years, Fred Kelesnik is well respected in his town of Morris. Retiring from teaching hasn't stopped Fred from actively being involved in the school and club sport system.
Being a leader and mentor, Mr. K has taught his team leadership and as a result, each player is a leader. Through coaching, he has taught the players equality, respect, and sportsmanship. Players have improved on their technical skills, including servings and passing. Under Fred's coaching and guidance, players have continued, whether it to play with Team Toba or university volleyball.
Over the years of coaching, Fred has taught with the same ability and passion. He has been the coach of coaches for his varsity girls' volleyball team. He is a role model and treats everyone with respect, including other coaches, officials, and his players. Not only does Fred comment on the good plays his team has made, he will comment on the good plays the other team has made. As a result of his positive leadership and guidance, his team received the Sportsmanship award last season.
Congratulations Fred, on receiving a Coaching Manitoba Clipboard and T-shirt, Global Sports Merchandise and a Robin's Gift Package!
