Graeme Jones led the only Atom team in St. Vital Mustang history to win the Provincial Championships. But more importantly, he is a true role model and contributor to the game of football.
Graeme's philosophy is to encourage team play, play fair and for each player to improve on his performance as well as learn the game of football.
He is always there to congratulate the players when they succeed. He pulls them aside, puts his arm around them and says something extremely positive. He also makes them aware of mistakes that they make, but not in a demeaning way. He explains what went wrong and what should be done differently. He always focuses on the positive. He improves kids confidence and self-esteem and helps to ensure they don't "slip through the cracks".
Graeme loves his players. He expects them to be good athletes on and off the field. He cares about them having a good time and being good sports. He has so much knowledge to give, it's great to see him give back to the younger generation.
Congratulations Graeme, on receiving a Coaching Manitoba Clipboard and T-shirt, Global Sports Merchandise and a Robins' Gift Package! The 'Coach of the Month' is featured the last Monday of every month in 'News Final' at 11:00 on Global Winnipeg.
