Archie has been coaching for over 20-years, teaching athletes as young as ten, all the way to National Champions. This past February, one of Archie’s athletes, David Snider became the youngest National Champion in Canada’s history.
Archie’s passion for badminton shines through and his players are able to pick up on that. He is always willing to spend time teaching about the sport and has raised awareness and grown the sport in the province.
He has created clinics and workshops that run across the province, teaching both players and coaches. Archie has helped and encouraged his athletes to become coaches, bringing them to the badminton clinics and summer camps that he has started to improve and gain coaching experience.
For being February’s “Coach of the Month”, Archie will receive a Coaching Manitoba clipboard and t-shirt, Global Sports merchandise and a Robins gift package.
The “Coach of the Month” is featured on Global Winnipeg the last Monday of every month in “News Final” at 11:00 p.m.
