Coach of the Month Awards program.

Coaching Manitoba is pleased to announce the August “Coach of the Month” recipient as Norbert Bender from Soccer. Norbert has been the coach of the T-Devil’s in the Winnipeg Women’s Soccer League since it first formed in 2004. In each of its four previous years, the T-Devil’s have had top-ranked seasons and earned spots in the next highest division.

Norbert has been an active member in the St. Boniface soccer community for over 15-years, giving his time as a coach, referee and volunteer. He has coached youth all the way up to women’s league. Norbert has coached one current member of the T-Devil’s since she was 6-years old.

He has a huge heart and loves to coach. Norbert treats his team with respect, praising hard work and giving feedback for ways to improve. He strives to have a team of unity and fair play. Norbert’s dedication to the team is immeasurable.

When youth soccer ended, the T-Devil’s represented an opportunity to continue playing the game and enjoying the company of others. The friendships that have formed on the team are lasting ones and would not have happened if Norbert had not created the team.
