RESPECT IN SPORT
Sport Manitoba believes in being proactive in ensuring sport in our province is safe and welcoming for all participants. Respect in Sport helps us promote those values through a simple and convenient on-line training course for coaches and sport leaders. It is designed as a tool to assist coaches in identifying and dealing with abuse, neglect, harassment, and bullying in sport.
Respect in Sport is a required on-line training program for all coaches registered with a Provincial Sport Organization in Manitoba.

As a former ‘AAA’ coach with Winnipeg South’s baseball program, I now look forward to coaching at the grassroots level (in St. Vital), after taking a year off.
I found the online module to be very user-friendly, and gained some terrific insights throughout. The section on Bullying and Harassment, and Cal Boterill’s testimonial was particularly valuable.
After completing the Respect in Sport module, I feel that I am in an even better position to offer a safe, welcoming, and fun environment for the athletes that I coach.
