Manitoba Coach Named to National Team

Khadija Cutchers' Synchro Swim career began as an athlete in the United States. As a member of the US National Team Khadija won many medals at international competitions including gold at the 1991 Pan American Games in Havana, Cuba.

Khadija began coaching in the US in 1993. She worked her way up to Head Coach of the US Junior National Team. She has also worked with the National Team Programs from Jamaica, Sri Lanka, and Yugoslavia.

Khadija came to Winnipeg in 2003 to coach with Momentum Synchro. She is currently Synchro Swim Manitoba's High Performance Coach. She is a fully certified level 3 Coach and is working towards completing her level 4.

Khadija recently joined the Canadian rankings as a National Team Assistant Coach with the 2009 13-15 year old Synchro Swim team. She will be travelling to Germany and Seattle for International competition.

Although Khadija's full time job is coaching that hasn't stopped her from competing. She recently won a Gold medal in the FINA World Masters Championships in Perth Australia.

Khadijas' involvement in sport doesn't stop there. She was also part of the synchro team that was featured in the movie, Austin Powers: The Spy that Shagged Me.
