Manitoba Chicken Producers and Manitoba's Coaches - A Recipe for Success

The Coaching Manitoba Unit of Sport Manitoba is proud to announce a new corporate partnership with Manitoba Chicken Producers.

"We welcome Manitoba Chicken Producers to the coaching family and their support of coaching development in the province," said Greg Guenther, Director of the Coaching Manitoba Unit. "Manitoba Chicken Producers primary involvement will greatly enhance Sport Manitoba's Respect in Sport program while providing the sport community with additional resources that focus on the nutritional needs of those who participate in sport activities."

Respect in Sport is an on-line training course to assist coaches, regardless of their sport, in identifying and dealing with issues of abuse, neglect, harassment, and bullying. It is designed to complement current coaching certification requirements. Last year Manitoba became the first province in Canada to implement the Respect in Sport program to help ensure a safe and positive sport environment for all participants making the program mandatory for coaches across the province who are identified with a Provincial Sport Organization - www.sportmanitoba.ca/respectinsport.php

In addition to its financial support of Respect in Sport, Manitoba Chicken Producers will on a regular basis provide quick and easy tips, ideas and recipes for Manitoba's busy coaches and on-the-go sport families. Manitoba Chicken Producers represents 143 farm families and promotes the purchase and consumption of locally raised chicken.
