Regional Coaches Travel Assistance

Travel assistance of up $200 is available to coaches attending recognized National Coaches Certification Clinics (Theory or Technical) and to coaches participating in Coaching Manitoba or PSO sponsored seminars/conferences.

High Performance Coaches Assistance & High Performance Coaches Employment Grants

Coaching Manitoba supports educational opportunities for our province's high performance coaches. Grants ranging from $250 to $600 are available to support coaches for costs associated with attendance at international competitions, clinics, seminars or national team camps.

Eligible coaches should contact their appropriate Provincial Sport Organization..

High Performance Coaches Employment Grants

Coaching Manitoba provides financial assistance to support the employment of high performance provincial team coaches with priority given to Canada Games sports. Grants of $5,000 to $10,000 are available on a 2-to-1 matching basis with a participating Provincial Sport Organization.

Coaching Association of Canada

The Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) is a not-for-profit amateur sport organization with the mandate to improve the effectiveness of coaching across all levels of the sport system. The CAC offers a variety of programs, grants and services that are of interest to coaches. Coaching Internship Program

Subsidies of up to $12,000.00 are available to enable organizations to hire young professionals for coaching positions leading to permanent full-time employment. A total of 20 internships are available. For program criteria and application forms please visit the Coaching Association of Canada website.

Grants for Women Coaches

The Professional Development Grants is designed to assist women who are interested in a career in coaching by providing an opportunity to upgrade their education and certification. The Women in Coaching National Coaching Institute Scholarships are awarded annually to women coaches who attend one of seven National Coaching Institutes located across Canada. Making Dreams Possible

GM and the Coaching Association of Canada have teamed up to provide two grants of interest to coaches. The GM Club Coaching Grants offers grants to local sport clubs for coach training and development. The GM High Performance Coach Grants offer Olympic and Paralympic coaches and their athletes the opportunity to apply for grants that build on the power of the athlete-coach relationship to contribute directly to achieving podium performances.
