Analyze This!

Coaching Manitoba further enhances the Biomechanical area of PEP with Analyze This!, a biomechanical analysis program designed to provide high performance coaches in Manitoba with the opportunity to access state of the art video recording equipment, software and computer programming.

Analyze This! - Level 1

High Performance Coaches may access DARTFISH experts to film, edit and analyze their athletes with the DARTFISH Technology software.

DARTFISH Software analysis tools which could be utilized include:

• Timing events (eg. batting swing) 
• Measuring movements (eg. step length) 
• Measuring velocity of movements (eg. ball speed) 
• Video overlay (compare athletes to professional/elite athletes) 
• StroMotion software (view video footage frame-by-frame)

Budget allowing, Coaching Manitoba will fund up to 75% of a project to a maximum of $500.00 for Provincial Team and High Performance coaches. The remainder would be paid for by the appropriate Provincial Sport Organization. Coaches must complete an application form and submit to Coaching Manitoba.

Analyze This! - Level 2

Level 2 of the Analyze This! program is designed to provide high performance coaches in Manitoba with the opportunity to access state of the art video recording equipment, software and computer programming.

Level 2 of the Analyze This! program allows the coach to take the video recording equipment and software to the field of play to film, edit and analyze his/her athletes with the DARTFISH Technology software. Attendance at the Coaching Manitoba DARTFISH Technology Software Workshop is required to gain access to Analyze This! Level 2 equipment.

Interested high performance coaches are encouraged to attend our FREE 7 hour workshop where they will learn how to analyze athletes by inputting digital video footage into the DARTFISH Technology software and will then learn how to operate several of the analysis tools. During the workshop, coaches will be given an opportunity to use the DARTFISH program and experiment with its many features and programs.

Those high performance coaches interested in attending a workshop must contact Coaching Manitoba at 925-5913 to determine eligibility. Once Coaches have attended a workshop they are permitted to borrow Dartfish Equipment by completing the Analyze This! Rental Agreement.
